This outdoor summer camp is all about getting comfortable with our “wild” backyard! Children have a natural sense of wonder and during this program they will safely explore and discover nature through stories and their senses. Using the Gathering Place as our base, we will fill our days with fun games, crafts, sensory activities, stories, and exploration! Your child will have the opportunity to meet (no riding) our Ojibwe Spirit Horses during a special Pony Meet & Greet!  There are two snack breaks and a lunch break supervised by Abbey Gardens’ Staff. Food is to be provided by parents/grandparents/guardians. Camp runs daily from 9:30am-4pm and is $315.00 per child for the week.

There are seven weeks to choose from between July 6th and August 21st. Please indicate your preference from the drop-down menu. If the date doesn’t appear, it’s sold out. Please feel free to email Irene at irene@abbeygardens.ca to place your child on a waitlist.

Weekly variations in camps will provide fun new experiences for campers participating in multiple weeks!

If your child is turning 5 in 2026, you are welcome to contact us to discuss their suitability for this camp. Please consider their ability to carry out day-to-day tasks independently.

After registration, you will receive a registration package with additional details a few weeks before the camp starts.

Payment Information & Cancellation Policy

We request that all participants commit to the full 5-day program. Full payment is due at the time of registration.

Since most of the programming will be outside, staff will be checking weather daily for risks of extreme weather conditions; extreme heat/humidity, thunderstorms, excessive rain, etc. If staff decide to cancel the day’s program due to extreme weather, they will communicate this to parents/grandparents/guardians within 1-1 ½ hours prior to drop off time. Cancellation of a program will be emailed to the primary contact person of the participant ONLY if the program is not running that day. It is the responsibility of the primary contact to check their email prior to transporting their child/grandchild to the program.

If any program days are canceled by staff due to inclement weather, you will be refunded for time missed less administration costs.

If you choose to cancel your child’s camp registration prior to the start of camp our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 30+ days’ notice: 90% refund
  • 15 - 29 days’ notice: If we can successfully fill camp spot = 90% refund; If we’re unable to fill camp spot = 50% refund
  • 7 – 14 days’ notice: If we can successfully fill camp spot = 80% refund; If we’re unable to fill camp spot = 25% refund

Please note: Refunds are not granted if a parent/grandparent/guardian withdraws their child(ren) from the program early, or if a participant is dismissed or disinvited from the program due to misconduct and inappropriate behaviour, deemed as such at the discretion of the Abbey Gardens’ staff.
