Service Description
Eco-Explorers is a hands-on, nature-based program designed to complement children’s learning in a positive, supportive social setting. Through curiosity, exploration, and play, children are inspired to discover the natural world while learning to ask questions, work collaboratively, deepen their understanding of nature, and build meaningful connections with the world around them. Together, we'll explore Abbey Gardens' forests, gardens, wetlands, and fields while discovering local ecosystems, wildlife, gardening, food, and sustainability through engaging, nature-based experiences. Guided investigations, creative activities, and outdoor adventures help participants develop observation, problem-solving, and ecological stewardship skills while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the environment. Eco-Explorers lays the foundation for young learners to become knowledgeable, confident stewards of our natural world. The Fall Eco-Explorers Session includes 7, 5-hour programs, meeting every Wednesday from September 23 to November 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cancellation Policy
If any program days are canceled by staff due to inclement weather, you will be refunded for time missed less administration costs. If you choose to cancel your child’s camp registration prior to the start of camp our cancellation policy is as follows: · 30+ days’ notice: 90% refund · 15 - 29 days’ notice: If we can successfully fill camp spot = 90% refund; If we’re unable to fill camp spot = 50% refund · 7 – 14 days’ notice: If we can successfully fill camp spot = 80% refund; If we’re unable to fill camp spot = 25% refund Please note: Refunds are not granted if a parent/grandparent/guardian withdraws their child(ren) from the program early, or if a participant is dismissed or disinvited from the program due to misconduct and inappropriate behaviour, deemed as such at the discretion of the Abbey Gardens’ staff.
