Nature-Based Learning

At Abbey Gardens, we inspire the next generation of environmental stewards through immersive, hands-on educational experiences.

 

Our skilled instructors lead programs for all ages throughout the year, from EcoExplorers homeschool program to seasonal camps across our 300-acre outdoor classroom.

 

Children develop deep connections with nature through exploration, creative play, and meaningful learning activities designed to foster confidence, curiosity, and respect for the natural world.

Disc Golf & Workshops 

Make memories this summer at Abbey Gardens! Play Disc Golf, spend time with our Paddock Pals, explore nature, learn new skills, and reconnect outdoors.

EcoExplorers 

Weekly homeschool program for ages 6-11 offered in winter, spring, and fall sessions. Children explore ecology, gardening, and sustainability through hands-on activities and environmental stewardship projects  in a fun, creative environment.

Seasonal Programs & Camps

Our programming focuses on discovering our natural playground!  Fun for ages 5-10 in our March Break, Fresh Air Tykes and Outdoor Kids camps where children enjoy daily hikes and nature-based activities. Unique “horse led” programming for youth 11-17!  There is something for all ages!

Group Visits

Experience the magic of Abbey Gardens through our customized educational programs for schools and community groups of all ages. Our 300-acre property offers unique opportunities to learn about sustainability, ecology, and outdoor skills.

Elementary School Programs

Age-appropriate, curriculum-connected activities for K-8 students that foster a connection with nature through exploration and hands-on learning.

  • Garden exploration and planting activities

Programs range from $15-$23 per student based on age and activities
