Tree identification Hike
Join us for a beginner-friendly tree identification hike, where you'll learn to recognize different tree species based on their leaves, bark, and buds. We'll take a leisurely walk through the woods at Abbey Gardens offering helpful tips and fun facts to deepen your connection with the forest. Take home our custom Haliburton County tree identification guide as part of the experience. .
Event Highlights
Rain or shine, walks last approximately 2 hours. Forest terrain is often uneven, with roots, rocks, and gentle slopes. Sturdy walking or hiking shoes are essential. It is for anyone willing to experience something new.
Items to bring:
