Fun outdoor day camps for ages 5- 14 in our natural playground. March Break Camp, Fresh Air Tykes (ages 5-6) and Outdoor Kids (ages 7-10) enjoy daily hikes, nature-based activities, and hands-on discoveries that build environmental awareness. Unique “horse led” programming and leadership opportunities for youth aged 11-17. Something for all ages!
Being outside in nature awakens our senses and unleashes curiosity in all seasons of the year! Our engaging programs and day camps are crafted with this in mind, encouraging inquisitive minds and playful spirits to an exciting mix of exploration, learning and fun in our “wild” backyard!
March Break Camp
Break out of winter with our 4-day March Break Camp! Using the Gathering Place as our base, we will be venturing outdoors to safely discover the beauty and mysteries of our "wild" backyard. Days are filled with nature-based activities, stories, hikes and crafts. We will also have a special "Meet & Greet" with our ponies and a day of fun, hands on outdoor skills! There are two snack breaks, and a lunch break supervised by Abbey Gardens' Staff. Food to be provided by parents/grandparents/guardians.

Summer Camps
Every day will introduce children to the beauty and secrets of the outdoors. From daily hikes to hands-on nature based activities, your child will enjoy free exploration in expansive green spaces. They'll walk away with cherished memories and a valuable connection to nature. Children always leave with big smiles!
Parents, please pack two (2) snacks, a hearty lunch and lots of water for your child. Each camp day the group will enjoy their snacks and lunch outdoors! This free supervised time helps foster a sense of community, enhancing this vibrant experience.
Our camp operates daily from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. The cost of camp includes all activities, craft materials, dedicated supervision, and the unforgettable experiences that awaits.
Our camps have daily themes and weekly variations providing new experiences for campers participating in multiple weeks. One of the highlights of our programing is the unique opportunity for your child to connect with our rare Ojibwe Spirit Horses. While riding is not allowed, children will learn all about these majestic animals during a special Pony-themed camp morning. Each child will have the chance to ask questions, interact safely, and enrich their understanding of these beautiful creatures.
To secure a spot for your child, we require that all participants commit to the full 5-day program. To complete your child's reservation, please enter the participating child(ren's) name(s) and ages in the designated box. Please read the waiver and medical information and complete the necessary information in the designated area prior to payment. Payment is due upon registration, and will ensure your child’s reservation for the indicated week(s).
Your child's safety is our top priority. Since all activities will take place outdoors, our staff will monitor the weather closely for potential risks such as extreme heat, thunderstorms, or heavy rain. If conditions necessitate a cancellation of programming, we will inform parents or guardians at least 1 to 1.5 hours before drop-off. Please ensure your contact information is current, as cancellations will be communicated only to the primary contact listed.

With both structured and spontaneous experiences, kids will learn about local wildlife, plant life, and the importance of teamwork through fun activities and social interactions with peers. Every day is an adventure just waiting to unfold!

Leaders in Training (LIT) Program
Experience the fun of camp while learning leadership skills! Work alongside an experienced educator to deliver camp programs this season! LITs practice their skills by leading games, crafts and activities and shadowing education staff . A hands-on opportunity to cultivate self-awareness, communication and cooperation skills all while getting community service hours.
What makes our Leaders in Training program so unique? A one-of-a-kind opportunity to participate in a 3 hour Equine Assisted Learning session prior to your camp experience. Working with our ponies and experienced trainers, LITs complete activities with our ponies designed to help identify leadership styles, gain confidence and learn appropriate assertiveness.
Our Leaders in Training program is perfect for youth ages 15-17.
